About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Assistant to join an amazing finance team in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing finance department.
You will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time, while supporting the wider finance function with day-to-day accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Match, batch and code invoices.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
Set up new supplier accounts and maintain supplier records.
Respond to supplier queries professionally and promptly.
Assist with month-end procedures, including accruals and reconciliations.
Support the finance team with audits and reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
