Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Probate Solicitor to join our busy team.
The Role
This is a key position within the firm, requiring an experienced and self-sufficient professional with a strong background in private client work, particularly probate. You will manage your own caseload and play an integral role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of probate matters independently
- Handling Inheritance Tax issues and related planning
- Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
- Administering both new and existing estates
- Drafting estate accounts accurately and efficiently
- Working closely with the Accounts Department on costs and billing matters
- Maintaining regular client contact, providing clear updates on progress and costs
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in probate administration (essential)
- Experience in Wills, Trusts, and Court of Protection work (desirable)
- Strong technical knowledge of probate law and procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Exceptional client care and communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
