Finance Business Partner/Project Accountant in Preston

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a high growth organisation in the professional services sector. The role is a key appointment for the firm, created due to significant growth over the last 3 years and with succession planning in mind. The organisation has an outstanding reputation – both in terms of delivery and as an employer of choice – they attract and retain high calibre staff and have a high percentage of long servers. You will support the Finance Director in managing financial performance, improving working capital efficiency, and strengthening financial systems and processes. The role has a strong operational focus, and typical duties will include: Working closely with fee earners and operational teams to manage Work in Progress (WIP), Leading on finance related projects across the firm Monitor and actively manage working capital, partnering with fee earners to improve WIP conversion and billing timeliness Identifying risks and opportunities, producing ad hoc analytical reporting Harnessing existing technology to improve and develop management information This position would appeal to someone who would welcome onward advancement as there is certainly opportunity to move into a management role within the medium term. To be considered we\’re looking for someone ideally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a broad range of accounting skills and strong commercial acumen who is looking for an opportunity to make a difference. A proactive and inquisitive nature is important and experience within professional services is highly desirable.
