Management Accountant
Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 DOE
Location: Office Based
Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm (flexibility available, providing core business hours are covered)
Holiday: 29 days including Bank Holidays, increasing to 31 days with length of service
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, providing meaningful financial insight, and helping drive business performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day finance function, supporting financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, and profitability analysis across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash and banking reconciliations
- Sales reconciliations and revenue reporting
- Sales ledger support
- Purchase ledger processing and oversight
- Petty cash control
- Preparation of monthly management information
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and oversee daily revenue and payroll forecasting
- Monitor payroll performance and associated costs
- Work closely with operational managers to improve profitability and performance
- Support finance projects and general ad hoc office duties
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- AAT qualification or equivalent, with CIMA/ACCA studies in progress, or be Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Sage 200 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong purchase ledger and sales ledger experience
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
