An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a thriving and well established organisation based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant who is looking for a more senior position to supervise a small team of 2, whilst reporting into Finance Manager and Finance Director. This role offers the chance to play a key part in driving financial performance and continuous business improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts within strict reporting deadlines.
  • Analyse sales, margins, stock, and rebate schemes to provide meaningful financial insight.
  • Reconcile stock, cost of sales, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor and manage rebate accruals, claims, and financial postings.
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, including dashboards and performance reports.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and support inventory control processes.
  • Drive process improvements and reporting efficiencies across finance systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, including trainee accountants.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, providing financial support and guidance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Key Skills Set Required

  • Qualified by experience, AAT, part or fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or high value inventory-led environment is essential.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience using ERP systems, reporting tools and Advanced in Excel.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
