About the Role

Our client are seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their Accounts Department on a part-time basis, working four days per week (Tuesday to Friday). This role would suit someone with previous experience in an accounts, finance, bookkeeping, purchase ledger or sales ledger position who is looking to broaden their skills within a professional services environment. Previous legal accounts experience is not required, as full training will be provided on legal cashiering procedures and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and posting client account transactions.
  • Assisting with CHAPS and BACS payments.
  • Posting anticipated disbursements.
  • Responding to general accounts enquiries.
  • Assisting with office account postings.
  • Supporting bank reconciliations when required.
  • Banking and producing cheques when necessary.
  • Assisting Accounts Managers with day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Supporting credit control activities, including occasional calls to clients regarding outstanding invoices.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Accounts Department.
