My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and maintaining the Purchase Ledger, including invoice entry, matching, and reconciliation
- Managing the Sales Ledger, including raising invoices and credit control support
- Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments at month end
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Supporting month-end close procedures and reporting requirements
- Responding to internal and external finance queries in a timely manner
- General administrative support within the finance function
About You
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes
- Experience with accruals and prepayments is essential
- Good attention to detail and strong numerical skills
