My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and maintaining the Purchase Ledger, including invoice entry, matching, and reconciliation
  • Managing the Sales Ledger, including raising invoices and credit control support
  • Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments at month end
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Supporting month-end close procedures and reporting requirements
  • Responding to internal and external finance queries in a timely manner
  • General administrative support within the finance function

About You

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes
  • Experience with accruals and prepayments is essential
  • Good attention to detail and strong numerical skills
