Accounts Payable Team Leader

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depends on experience)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our clients finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for process improvement to take ownership of the AP function and drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Oversee supplier reconciliations and resolve complex queries.
- Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to maintain strong working relationships.
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, with team leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of AP processes and systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
