We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a business based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering stability and progression for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Updating and maintaining jobs on the company haulage system
- Ensuring jobs are correctly processed prior to sales invoice generation
- Supporting the credit control function, including chasing outstanding debt
- Assisting with general finance administration and reporting
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate job costing and invoicing
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or credit control role
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger and sales processes
- Experience working with job costing or haulage systems (desirable)
- Confident working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Good communication skills for internal and external queries
