Job Opportunity: Cost/Management Accountant
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: Circa £50,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified/QBE Cost Accountant to join our permanent team at the shared service centre in Ellesmere Port. The role offers excellent benefits and a hybrid work setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Costing new products and ensuring accurate standard costs, BOMs, and recipe data.
- Quarterly standard cost updates and communication to senior management.
- Weekly activities on process orders, variance calculations, and insightful reporting.
- Month-end close for production and inventory, including Actual Costing.
- Monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
- Identification and reporting of manufacturing cost variances.
- Chairing variance reporting meetings.
- Production of monthly plant financials and performance analysis.
- Collaborating with Product Management on new developments and tenders.
- Reporting using Business Warehouse and supporting annual budgeting.
- Maintaining Costing email inbox and responding to queries promptly.
- Supporting external audits during the annual audit.
- Handling other ad-hoc reporting and queries as needed.
Role Requirements:
- CIMA Qualified or QBE.
- Proven Costing experience in manufacturing.
- Strong skills in Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems (preferably S4 Hana).
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
