Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to lead the people function within a successful multi-site hospitality business?

We're recruiting for an experienced Group HR Manager to join a well-established organisation supporting approximately 400 employees across a portfolio of hotels, inns and restaurants. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced, operational environment where no two days are the same.

The Role

As Group HR Manager, you'll take ownership of the full HR function, providing both strategic and hands-on support across multiple locations. Working closely with senior managers, you'll oversee the complete employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and promoting best practice throughout the business.

You'll also mentor and support a part-time HR Officer, helping to develop both the individual and the wider HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
  • Leading employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability and wellbeing matters.
  • Conducting investigations and supporting formal hearings.
  • Advising and coaching managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Managing performance, absence and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Supporting learning and development across the organisation.
  • Maintaining contracts, personnel records, HR policies and GDPR compliance.
  • Ensuring right-to-work compliance and accurate employee records.
  • Working closely with Payroll to ensure all employee information is processed accurately.
  • Reviewing and updating the employee handbook in line with current legislation.
  • Providing a visible HR presence across multiple sites through regular travel.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a senior generalist HR role.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites within a busy operational environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Strong employee relations experience.
  • A relevant CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused approach.
  • The ability to build credibility with managers at all levels.
  • High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Previous hospitality experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other fast-paced, multi-site environments will also be considered.

Benefits

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
  • 28 days' holiday including bank holidays.
  • Staff discounts across multiple hospitality venues.
  • Discounted hotel stays.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Gym membership.
  • Free meals whilst on shift.
  • Monday to Friday working hours.
  • Opportunity to join an established and growing business where you can genuinely influence the people agenda.
