Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a market-leading international business to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join its finance team based at its Liverpool head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, forecasting and month-end processes, while working closely with both finance and operational teams across the business.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, typically 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home, with full office attendance required during month-end periods.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting and helping to ensure effective financial controls and processes across the division. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing weekly financial reporting and data analysis for senior management
  • Maintaining rolling forecasts in collaboration with operational teams
  • Preparing month-end accounts including P&L reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting VAT returns and intercompany reporting processes
  • Assisting finance and commercial teams with reporting, analysis and data management
  • Supporting monthly payroll processes
  • Producing ad-hoc reports and financial analysis as required
  • Assisting with wider accounting and financial management duties across the division

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within a finance or accounting role
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills including lookups, SUMIFS and pivot tables
  • The ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage competing demands
  • Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA status would be advantageous

Salary Benefits

Salary circa £32,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, excellent opportunity for career progression and development.
