The Role
As Payroll Assistant, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across weekly and monthly payroll cycles, while also providing broader administrative support to the team. This is a varied position offering exposure to multiple aspects of payroll and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
- Maintaining and updating employee records, including contractual changes
- Managing holiday and absence records within the HR system
- Monitoring sickness absence and supporting long-term absence tracking
- Processing weekly expenses
- Acting as a point of contact for system queries and escalating issues where required
- Supporting company car administration, including tax renewals and inspections
- Assisting with insurance claims administration
- Maintaining and updating internal processes and procedures
- Providing general administrative support across payroll and the wider team
About You
- Previous experience in payroll or administration
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
- Experience with HR or payroll systems (e.g. iTrent) would be advantageous
