Management Accountant - 3-Month Contract
Location: Warrington
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: 3-Month Contract, Full-time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Warrington on an initial 3-month contract.
This is a varied, hands-on position within a busy finance team and would suit someone who can quickly get up to speed and provide immediate support across management accounts, month-end, VAT, reconciliations and wider financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial information.
- Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain nominal ledgers and complete regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns for review prior to submission to HMRC.
- Process accounting adjustments, transfers and other ledger entries.
- Maintain bank accounts, reconciliations and payment processing across multiple entities.
- Undertake regular reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
- Liaise with external accountants and provide period-end reports and supporting information.
- Provide wider support to the finance team as required.
About You:
- Experienced Management Accountant with a strong hands-on accounting background.
- Part-qualified, fully qualified, QBE or similar accounting experience considered.
- Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Confident with month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Excellent bank reconciliation and nominal ledger experience.
- Good understanding of VAT and wider accounting processes.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and quickly adapt to a new environment.
- Available at short notice and able to commit to an initial 3-month contract.
