An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a successful and established business based in Liverpool Street. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Director, you will support across a broad range of finance activities including invoicing, Accounts Payable, reconciliations and payment processing. This would particularly suit someone with previous accounts or finance administration experience who is looking for a varied role with the opportunity to gain further management accounting exposure and develop their finance career. You'll be joining a friendly, professional environment where you can take ownership of your work and gain genuine visibility across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise client invoices based on timesheets and chargeable expenses
- Check invoices against timesheets and expense records for accuracy
- Process Accounts Payable payments, including timesheets and associated expenses
- Check and reconcile financial information through client portals
- Ensure billing information is accurate ahead of payment runs
- Verify bank details for new payees before initial payments
- Maintain and periodically reconfirm existing bank details
- Complete monthly company credit card and Amex reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Support the Finance Manager and Director with wider finance activities
- Work to key finance deadlines and payment run cut-offs
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Finance Administrator role
- Experience of invoicing and Accounts Payable processes
- Good reconciliation experience
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with financial data
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Reliable, organised and methodical approach
