We're looking for an organised and proactive Logistics & Fleet Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing operation and play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. Acting as the link between production, drivers and fleet maintenance, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, managing vehicle compliance and ensuring excellent service levels for customers across the North of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise daily delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet customer delivery requirements
- Coordinate driver schedules and monitor deliveries throughout the day
- Oversee vehicle loading and ensure delivery accuracy against manifests
- Manage order shortages and update delivery schedules within the ERP system
- Keep customers informed of any delays or changes to deliveries
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, inspections and MOTs
- Monitor driver defect reports and arrange repairs where required
- Act as the first point of contact for vehicle breakdowns and delivery issues
- Work closely with warehouse, production and compliance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
About You
- Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination or fleet administration
- Good understanding of vehicle compliance, defect management and MOT scheduling
- Experience using ERP, logistics or transport management systems
- Strong geographical knowledge of the North West, Yorkshire and Midlands
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with drivers, customers and colleagues
- Calm and practical approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
