We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to join a busy and friendly school on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom facilities
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and polishing floors
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies as required
- Using floor-cleaning machinery and equipment to maintain larger areas
- Working safely with cleaning chemicals and adhering to COSHH regulations
- Following school cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Ensuring all areas are kept clean, safe and presentable for staff, pupils and visitors
Requirements
- Previous commercial or school cleaning experience preferred
- Able to use cleaning equipment and floor-cleaning machinery, or willing to be trained
- Comfortable handling cleaning chemicals safely
- Chemical/COSHH training would be advantageous, although training can be provided where required
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards
- Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate that has already been processed and is available for work immediately
