Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.

• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax computations.

• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.

• Providing accounting and tax planning advice to owner-managed businesses.

• Identifying opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes and financial reporting.

• Working closely with managers and directors on client assignments.

• Reviewing work prepared by junior accountants.

• Mentoring and supporting trainees in their professional development.

Requirements

To be considered for this Senior Accountant position, you'll ideally have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification.

• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice.

• Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and tax computations.

• Experience working with owner-managed businesses.

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

• Experience supervising or mentoring junior accountants.

• Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous but is not essential.

You'll be commercially aware, confident dealing directly with clients and keen to develop your advisory experience.
