The role

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, gaining valuable experience across accounts preparation, tax and client advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for a range of clients.

• Preparing management accounts and supporting clients with financial reporting.

• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax computations.

• Assisting with tax planning and identifying opportunities to provide additional advice to clients.

• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Supporting clients with Xero and advising on accounting software.

• Working closely with Senior Accountants and Managers to deliver a high-quality service.

• Supporting and mentoring junior accountants and trainees.

About you

We're looking for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant who enjoys working with clients and wants to continue developing their technical knowledge and experience.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

• Be part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or actively working towards qualification.

• Experience preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients.

• A good understanding of corporation tax and personal tax.

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to develop client relationships.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

• Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous but isn't essential.
