Inside Sales & Customer Account Executive
Location: Burnley and onsite in office - 2pm friday finish
Job Type: Permanent
We are recruiting for an Inside Sales & Customer Account Executive to join an established engineering/manufacturing business in Burnley.
This is a customer-focused role combining internal sales, customer service, sales administration and account development. You will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and building strong ongoing relationships with customers.
This would suit a candidate wanting to develop their sales skills and work with lapsed/warmer internal customer leads rather than brand new/cold sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming customer enquiries and provide product information and pricing
- Prepare, submit and follow up customer quotations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate solutions
- Introduce customers to new products and services
- Process customer orders and associated documentation
- Provide customers with updates on order progress
- Follow up customer requests and resolve queries promptly
- Support the wider sales team with general sales administration
- Complete other duties as required
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in customer service, customer care or internal sales, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
You will also have:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent listening and relationship-building abilities
- Good attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using a CRM system would be advantageous
- A proactive approach to developing customer accounts
- The ability to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions
