About the Role
We are recruiting a Financial Reporting Technical Assistant Manager to join a leading UK accounting firm in their Infrastructure division. This internal‑facing role is focused on corporate reporting, compliance, and technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review annual reports and financial statements to confirm compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, company legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Research, draft, and respond to technical queries on accounting and corporate reporting matters.
- Provide technical support and advice to partners and staff.
- Develop and issue internal technical guidance, papers, and training materials.
- Maintain the firm’s internal technical library and update pro‑forma financial statements.
- Prepare and deliver internal accounting and corporate reporting training sessions.
- Liaise with internal teams and contribute to divisional technical initiatives.
Person Specification
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accountancy qualification.
- At least 1‑year post‑qualification experience (Assistant Manager level) in audit or a technical role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, UK listing rules, and UK legislation.
- Experience reviewing annual reports, financial statements, and developing internal technical materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational, project management, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
