Are you an organised and proactive logistics professional looking for your next contract opportunity? We are seeking a Control Panel Administrator to join a busy operational team in York, ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse and logistics process.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring goods are accurately received, stored, processed and dispatched in line with operational requirements and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods and verify shipments against delivery documentation, checking material numbers, descriptions and quantities.
- Inspect deliveries for visible damage and accurately report any discrepancies.
- Safely operate transport equipment, including hand-guided industrial trucks and forklifts (where qualified).
- Capture and maintain accurate records within relevant data processing systems.
- Manage the acceptance, storage, picking and movement of goods within warehouse locations.
- Support stock control activities, including regular inventory checks and stock maintenance.
- Assemble customer and internal deliveries, ensuring accuracy and completeness against delivery notes.
- Package goods in line with shipping instructions, dispatch methods and relevant compliance requirements, including Dangerous Goods regulations where applicable.
- Prepare and attach the correct shipping documentation to outbound shipments.
- Coordinate and complete internal and external transport activities using appropriate transportation methods.

- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good IT skills and experience using warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Forklift licence or relevant material handling experience would be advantageous.
