We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, and holds a valid FLT licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of a forklift truck within the yard
- Loading and unloading materials and deliveries
- Moving, storing, and organising stock within the yard
- Carrying out general yard duties, including housekeeping
- Assisting with picking and preparing orders where required
- Following all health safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance essential; Reach desirable)
- Previous yard, warehouse, or similar operational experience
- Strong awareness of health safety
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
