Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to support a busy HR function on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong ER knowledge and a solid understanding of employment law to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working closely with the HR team, you will provide expert guidance on a range of employee relations matters, ensuring processes are managed fairly, consistently and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support on employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters and appeals.
- Review ongoing cases, assess available information and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Ensure all employee relations activities comply with current employment legislation and company policies.
- Support managers through formal HR processes, providing guidance and best practice recommendations.
- Prepare and review relevant documentation, reports and case records.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure cases are progressed efficiently and effectively.
About You
- Previous experience within an Employee Relations Advisor, HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing or advising on grievance and disciplinary processes.
- Ability to review complex situations and provide practical, legally compliant recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and hit the ground running in a busy environment.
- CIPD qualification.
