Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking for a new opportunity in the distribution industry? Our client is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Transport Manager to join their team, overseeing the fleet compliance. With a flexible approach, excellent analytical and planning skills, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of their busy transport operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with legislation and regular audit of maintenance schedules
- Support accident investigations and ensure health and safety requirements are met
- Act as the point of contact for motor insurance and handle daily defects on holiday cover
- Order fuel and ensure all vehicles are licenced, registered, and insured
- Effectively manage vehicle scheduling for maintenance and repairs
- Report on accidents/incidents and perform any other duties as required
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage - International
- Detailed understanding of relevant transport and health & safety legislations
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Previous experience in Transport Management
In this role, you will work closely with the operations teams, drivers and customer quality team to ensure the efficient functioning of the transport operations. You will also collaborate with the Transport Office Manager in supporting daily operations. The role is based in Worcester, working 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
