We're looking for a reliable and motivated Driver / Storeperson to join our Community Equipment Service team in Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support local people by delivering, collecting, assembling and maintaining essential community equipment that helps individuals live safely and independently in their own homes. You'll be joining a dedicated team providing an important service to the local community.
About the Role
- Deliver and collect community equipment from customer's homes.
- Assemble and fit equipment where required and provide guidance on its use.
- Prepare equipment for delivery and ensure vehicles are loaded safely.
- Clean, refurbish and safety-check returned equipment before returning it to stock.
- Receive and check incoming deliveries from suppliers.
- Complete stock checks and maintain accurate records.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Carry out vehicle checks and drive in accordance with company policies and road safety requirements.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve the service.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or similar environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to treat people with dignity and respect.
- A flexible and positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Willingness to complete a driver assessment if required.
Desirable
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Experience using a forklift truck.
- Health & Safety or Moving & Handling training.
- Knowledge of community equipment, daily living aids or infection prevention procedures.
