We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Electrician to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves electrical installation and fault-finding on heavy vehicles and specialist equipment, with a strong focus on lorry cab wiring and integrated systems.
This position is ideal for a skilled electrician with proven experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy-duty machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Wiring and electrical installation within lorry cabs and vehicle bodies
- Installing, testing, and fault-finding vehicle electrical systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in conjunction with electrical components
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations
- Supporting production and build schedules within a workshop environment
- Carrying out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs as required
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Electrician (essential)
- Proven experience wiring lorry cabs or commercial vehicles
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and fault-finding skills
