Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your skills within a growing company? We are currently recruiting for a Power Tool Operative to join our client's team in Wigan on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role involving the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a range of power and hand tools. Previous experience using power tools is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for candidates who are practical, eager to learn and have a good understanding of tools and how they are used.
Responsibilities- Carry out repairs, refurbishment and maintenance of products using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Diagnose basic faults and identify parts that require repair or replacement.
- Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure products are repaired correctly.
- Inspect products before and after repair to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- A good understanding of hand and power tools.
- Previous experience in a hands-on, assembly, production, manufacturing, workshop or maintenance environment would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts of 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
