Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00

Our client is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support their operations in Birmingham. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong background in inventory control and logistics, ready to contribute to a dynamic team within the life sciences sector!

Key Responsibilities:
As a Material Handler, the primary focus will be on warehouse and logistics activities, including:

Completing daily cycle-count lists efficiently.
Physically locating and accurately counting inventory items.
Verifying part numbers and storage locations to ensure accuracy.
Recording physical count quantities and performing recounts as necessary.
Flagging discrepancies for prompt investigation and resolution.
Checking stock-location accuracy and identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
Supporting inventory clean-up and location-control activities.
Assisting with physical inventory and audit preparation tasks.
Collaborating with the inventory team to maintain routine inventory-control tasks. Requirements:

Previous experience in inventory counting is essential.
A strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, while adhering to manual-handling requirements. Work Environment:

The role involves working in various warehouse/storage areas, including environments with temperature-controlled storage (e.g., freezers at -20 degrees and cold rooms +2 - +8).
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, including safety shoes and hi-vis attire where necessary.
