About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team based in Waterlooville. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in electronic assembly who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of assembly activities, including PCB assembly, cable assembly, electro-mechanical build, and product rework. You will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while meeting customer specifications and production deadlines.
This position would suit someone with a positive, proactive attitude who is equally comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PCBA assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering.
- Complete cable assembly work using various crimping tools and techniques.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of products and sub-assemblies.
- Interpret and work from Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Ensure all assembly work is completed in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in an electronic assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Strong soldering skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- A flexible and positive team player with a strong work ethic.
Desirable Skills
- IPC certification would be beneficial, although not essential.
