CNC Turner Programmer / Setter Operator Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Enhanced Pension Contract Type: Permanent | Dayshift | Early Finish Friday Our client, a highly respected precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter Operator to join its dynamic machining team. The Role: As a CNC Turner, the successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating advanced CNC turning machinery, ensuring the production of precision components from initial setup through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Programme, set up, and operate CNC turning machinery Edit and optimise existing programmes for efficiency Produce components adhering to tight tolerances and engineering drawings Select appropriate tooling and workholding solutions Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to maintain quality standards Maintain high levels of productivity while supporting continuous improvement activities within the machine shopAbout You: The ideal candidate will possess: Previous CNC turning experience in a precision engineering environment Strong programming, setting, and operating skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience in working to tight tolerances A comprehensive understanding of machining processes and tooling Knowledge of live tooling and multi-axis machiningDesirable Experience: C-axis and Y-axis machining Working with complex precision components Experience in low-volume and high-mix manufacturing Machining of specialist or exotic alloys Manual milling experienceWhat's on Offer?
