Location: Warwick - (Possible travel to Wokingham site once a month)
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £ per day inside IR35 via Umbrella

Company Overview: Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team in Warwick. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to make a significant impact within the organisation and shape the financial strategy and performance of various business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the relationship with senior business stakeholders, building trust and rapport to achieve credibility to enable challenging discussions around regulatory and financial performance.
- Understand the financial challenges faced by the business. Define, and influence business stakeholders around, the financial options that will support the function in meeting the financial targets now and in the future.
- Support the Corporate Business Planning process. Identifying key strategic financial risks and looking for opportunities to mitigate. Support the performance framework and support decision-making that delivers strong financial performance.
- Prepare and present strategic financial analysis and papers to enable business leadership to understand the financial implications of business initiatives and make well-informed decisions, ensuring future stability and delivery against cashflow performance, licence changes, changes to benchmarks and regulatory returns.
- Actively find areas of the business to add value, supporting more complex commercial and non-financial performance-related decisions across both BAU and Projects.
- Support the investment appraisal processes for assigned stakeholders ensuring value for money, providing benefit and performance tracking for investments as required.
- Proactively build own knowledge of Ofgem regulation and its impact on the industry and the business to support key decisions and advise and guide business stakeholders as appropriate, helping to drive the FSO performance against regulatory commitments.
- Provide support, coaching and guidance to more junior members of the FBP team as required to increase team capability.
- Identify, challenge and build processes to improve value and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a complex finance business partnering role.
- Strong planning, analytical, and commercial thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and develop creative solutions.
- Experience in a government or similar complex environment.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
