Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse OperativeLocation: WishawRemuneration: £11.64 per hourContract Details: Temporary, 2 weeks, 36 hours per week over 4 days – Potential for contract to last longer
Shift Pattern: 8:30am – 6pm
Responsibilities:Join our clients dynamic team as a Warehouse Operative, where your contributions will directly support their operations and customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will include:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers
- Breaking down pallets for efficient storage
- Picking and packing orders using handheld scanners
- Building and wrapping stock onto pallets for delivery
- Appropriately storing stock to maintain organisation
- Moving stock using manual handling or equipment
- Inputting data into their systems
- Assisting with stock takes to ensure accuracy
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean and tidy
- Collaborating and communicating with different teams daily
- Performing general warehouse maintenance tasks
Essential Skills & Experience:To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse role
- Strong manual handling skills
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
- A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
- The capability to consistently meet targets
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to following health and safety guidelines
- Flexibility to work overtime and different shifts as needed
- A full driving licence and driving experience
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Familiarity with Kerridge or other WMS/ERP systems
- Experience in delivery planning
