Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Paisley
Remuneration: £12.65 per hour
Contract Details: Temp To Perm
Responsibilities
- Perform warehousing tasks in line with SOPs, GMP standards, PPI processes, and 5S principles.
- Operate semi-automated and automated equipment efficiently.
- Prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet daily operational targets.
- Conduct safety checks on mechanical equipment, including Reach and Counterbalance forklifts.
- Utilise your computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and leverage ERP system experience (preferred).
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively across teams to foster collaboration.
- Proactively suggest improvements and take ownership of your actions.
- Perform additional duties as needed in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence.
- Experience within warehousing in a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and alternative shifts if required.
Working Conditions
- Work in a varied warehouse environment, including ambient, cold room (2-8°C), and freezer (-15 to -20°C).
- Manual handling of loads up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
