Contract Details: Contract Type: Temporary Contract Length: 6 months Hourly Rate: £17.41 per hour Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week **Please not this role is subject to POLICE VETTING, you must resided within the UK for a minimum of 5 years continually** About the Role: In this essential position within the Vetting Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring that robust vetting processes are applied to all staff, officers, and third-party personnel. Your efforts will help maintain the highest standards of trust and professionalism within the organisation. Key responsibilities will include: Gathering, researching, and analysing information from a variety of sources to support vetting decisions. Conducting conviction and non-conviction checks using local and national systems. Assessing risk and providing evidence-based recommendations on security clearances. Maintaining accurate and confidential records on vetting systems. Conducting and supporting vetting interviews when necessary. Acting as a key point of contact for vetting enquiries across the organisation. Supporting ongoing aftercare, renewal, and review processes.Your contributions will be vital in ensuring compliance with national vetting standards and internal policies, directly enhancing the integrity of the organisation and fostering public confidence. What We're Looking For: Our client is on the lookout for a candidate who demonstrates: Proven experience as a vetting analyst, handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion. Background in a vetting unit within the last 2 years. Strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage a high workload and meet tight deadlines. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.In addition, the ideal candidate will possess: Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
