Job Type: Temp to Perm

Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm, Total: 39 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Electrician to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment on a temp-to-perm basis. The role involves electrical installation and fault-finding on heavy vehicles and specialist equipment, with a strong focus on lorry cab wiring and integrated systems. This position is ideal for a skilled electrician with proven experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy-duty machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wiring and electrical installation within lorry cabs and vehicle bodies
  • Installing, testing, and fault-finding vehicle electrical systems
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in conjunction with electrical components
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations
  • Supporting production and build schedules within a workshop environment
  • Carrying out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Electrician (essential)
  • Proven experience wiring lorry cabs or commercial vehicles
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail
