Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our clients and assisting with warehouse operations. If you have a passion for driving, excellent customer service skills, and enjoy working in a warehouse environment, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van up to 3.5 tonnes to deliver goods to various locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are securely packed and handled with care.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as planned.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues to the management.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and organising inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Requirements
- Valid driver\’s license
- Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar role
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of local roads and routes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
