The predicted salary is between 59576 - 70089 £ per year.

Location: Durrington, West Sussex (Hybrid Working)

Day Rate: £650 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract: 6 months initially

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Training Lead to support a major transformation programme with our utilities client. This is a high-impact role, responsible for ensuring colleagues across the business are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully adopt new ways of working under the NIS Programme.

About the Role

As Training Lead, you will take ownership of the programme's training strategy, leading the design and delivery of learning solutions across multiple workstreams. You will manage a small team of Training Analysts and play a key role in driving business readiness and successful change adoption. Working closely with Change, Communications, Programme teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will ensure that training is engaging, effective and aligned to programme objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead and develop a team of Training Analysts, providing direction and support
    • Oversee the design, development and delivery of high-quality training materials
    • Actively contribute to the development and refinement of learning content where required
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and maintain the programme training strategy and curriculum
    • Prioritise training activities in line with programme milestones and business readiness
    • Track training delivery, measure effectiveness, and implement continuous improvements
    • Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and training readiness
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong partnerships with SMEs to translate complex requirements into learning solutions
    • Work closely with the Communications Lead to ensure aligned, engaging messaging
    • Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Training Lead who thrives in complex, fast-paced transformation environments.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience leading training or learning workstreams within large-scale transformation or change programmes
  • Strong track record designing and delivering training strategies, curricula, and blended learning solutions
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Ability to work across multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent stakeholder management - able to influence and engage at all levels
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning content
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Additional Strengths

  • Experience delivering a mix of workshops, virtual learning, instructor-led and digital training
  • Understanding of change management principles and user adoption
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to navigate complex organisations
