What You'll Be Doing
- Team Leadership
- Supervising night staff and organising shift rotas
- Arranging holiday/absence cover
- Training and developing staff in line with company processes
- Ensuring new starters and agency staff receive full inductions and legal briefings
- Motivating the team to hit productivity targets and minimise picking errors
- Operational Excellence
- Accurate order picking of ambient, frozen, and chilled goods
- Performing pallet checks and stock checks
- Checking goods inwards when needed
- Using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely
- Maintaining clean, tidy working areas
- Monitoring critical control points (HACCP)
- Logistics & Loading
- Briefing drivers on any load issues
- Moving lorries onto the loading bay
- Loading pallets onto correct vehicles ahead of delivery
- Compliance & Safety
- Following all management instructions and company procedures
- Ensuring the safety of yourself and others
- Reporting any warehouse non‑conformances
- Carrying out pre-operational MHE checks
