Join Our Team as a Theatre & Venue Technician! Temporary Position in Bolton
Are you passionate about the magic of live performance? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where creativity meets technical expertise? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client is seeking a dedicated Theatre & Venue Technician to join their vibrant team in Bolton.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with artists, touring crews, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of all technical and logistical requirements.
- Assist in the movement, rigging, and installation of technical equipment, strictly adhering to Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain all technical equipment, including sound and lighting systems, ensuring they are performance-ready and securely stored.
- Operate sound (Allen and Heath), lighting (ETC & Zero88), and stage equipment to a high standard, showcasing strong knowledge of theatrical systems.
- Support and supervise event staff, visiting technicians, and touring crews, including tasks that may require working at height and handling heavy equipment.
- Liaise with hirers, artists, and venue users to ensure safe and effective use of all technical equipment, providing guidance, support, and basic training as needed.
- Assist in the set-up and dismantling of equipment for various events in the Albert Halls Complex and external locations.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of technical assets, ensuring all items are appropriately stored, tracked, and controlled.
- Engage with external suppliers of technical equipment, ensuring manuals and technical specifications are current and accessible.
