Our client, Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is seeking a dedicated Level 1/2 Final Test Inspection Operative to join their team in Eastfield. This role is initially to cover a period of maternity leave until Summer 2027, but may have the possibility to be extended.

About the Role:

As a Level 1/2 Inspection Operative, your mission will be to carry out routine testing and inspection of products and components. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive only the highest quality products. The role offers a competitive salary of £13.40 - £15.12 per hour, dependant on your experience.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Ensure products/components meet specifications as per test plans and product specifications.
  • Record test results using digital tools.
  • Verify that test equipment is appropriate and safe for use.
  • Proactively identify issues during the assembly process.
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests.
  • Support production and quality engineers to ensure part conformity in case of quality issues.
  • Optimise inspection methodologies using the best available techniques and tools.

What We're Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Electrical qualifications and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical fault finding and inspection processes.
  • A demonstrable interest in electrical circuits and fault finding.
  • PC literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
  • A strong ability to work efficiently, accurately, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and dependability.
  • Capability to understand and follow General Arrangement Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, and Schematics.
