Laboratory Assistant in Tarvin, £13.54 per hour, Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch). Temporary ongoing position with potential to become permanent.

The Role

  • Working across four different laboratories, you will provide essential support to laboratory teams by preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring labs remain clean, organised and compliant with strict procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing sample packs for testing activities.
  • Setting up and preparing laboratory equipment.
  • Transferring and processing data relating to samples.
  • Booking in and setting up microbiology samples and swabs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and following strict procedures.
  • Handling laboratory waste appropriately.
  • Cleaning and preparing laboratory areas to required standards.
  • Working within a highly regulated environment and adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
