We are looking for 7 Visual Inspectors to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with excellent attention to detail who can remain focused while carrying out repetitive quality inspection tasks.
As a Visual Inspector, you will be responsible for manually inspecting pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet strict quality standards before progressing through the manufacturing process. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, consistency, and concentration are essential.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:00 15:00 - 23:00 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct manual visual inspections of filled vials under controlled conditions.
- Identify and remove defective products, including:
- Visible particles or contamination
- Scratches, cracks, chips, and other cosmetic defects
- Fill volume issues
- Container closure defects
- Accurately separate accepted and rejected products.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality inspection processes.
- Complete inspection records and documentation accurately.
- Report any abnormalities or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, and data integrity requirements.
- Participate in visual assessments, training, and ongoing qualification activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
Essential Requirements
- GCSE-level Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Good visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses).
- Ability to maintain high levels of concentration for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
- Reliable and self-motivated approach to work.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, medical device, or other regulated production environment.
- Understanding of GMP, GDP, or quality standards.
