Senior Formulation Technician Location: Swindon Pay Rate: £14.55 per hour + 40% shift allowance Contract: 12 Month Temporary Assignment Hours: Average 42 hours per week Start Date: ASAP The Role We are currently recruiting for a Senior Formulation Technician to join a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a highly regulated production setting and is looking to develop their career within the pharmaceutical industry. This role operates on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 (Days) 19:00 - 07:00 (Nights)Shift pattern: Week 1: Wednesday & Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday The cycle then repeats Key Responsibilities Set up and operate bulk manufacturing equipment in line with standard operating procedures. Prepare, test and set up manufacturing modules, including CIP, SIP, pressure testing, filter integrity testing and autoclaving. Operate small and large-scale compounding systems. Manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with batch manufacturing records. Complete all batch documentation accurately and in compliance with GMP requirements. Monitor equipment performance and report faults or issues. Carry out cleaning and maintenance activities to pharmaceutical industry standards. Perform Clean In Place (CIP) and Steam In Place (SIP) activities. Operate autoclaves, airlocks and automated cleaning systems. Ensure all equipment is sterilised and ready for production use. Support validation projects and new product introductions. Assist with basic equipment maintenance where required. Escalate any non-conformance or quality concerns promptly. About You Essential GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent numeracy skills. GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent literacy skills. Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Desirable Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or pharmaceutical environment. Experience working within GMP or regulated industries.
