Supply & Purchasing Manager - Birmingham (Hybrid Working) - 6 Months - Inside IR35
Our client a global telecommunications organisation are looking for an experienced Supply & Purchasing Manager to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will play a key part in managing supply planning, purchasing activities and supplier engagement, ensuring products and services are delivered efficiently while balancing customer demand, inventory levels and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supply planning and purchasing activities across the supply chain
- Support demand forecasting and inventory optimisation
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
- Monitor supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Drive purchasing governance and best practice processes
- Mitigate supply risks and resolve sourcing challenges
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial and procurement teams
- Produce reporting and insights to support decision-making
Experience Required
- Strong background in supply chain, purchasing or procurement management
- Experience within complex operational environments
- Knowledge of supply planning, forecasting and inventory management
- Proven supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
Desirable
- Telecommunications experience
- Experience working within large, complex organisations
- Exposure to supply chain transformation programmes
