Manufacturing Environment (West Hull)

Salary: Circa 30,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stores Manager ideally from a Manufacturing or Engineering background to join our clients team. You will oversee the stores service supporting business operations across a 5-day, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, store, issue, and record parts, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Develop systems and processes for effective stock management and cost control.
• Monitor supplier stock and performance.
• Ensure timely unloading and checking of incoming goods.
• Maintain orderly and safe stock storage.
• Issue stock based on requisitions and manage system transactions.
• Prepare systems for shipment.
• Organize and assist with stock-check processes and record maintenance.
• Keep stores areas safe, clean, and orderly.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Support daily store operations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Purpose:

• Manage inventory levels to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize store operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Good computer literacy.
• Strong knowledge of stores procedures and methods.
• Problem-solving capabilities.
• Positive, proactive attitude; flexible and enthusiastic.
• Experience in a supervisory role.
