Salary: 29,400 + Christmas bonus

Hours: Monday-Friday (early finish on Fridays)

We are seeking a hands-on, organised, and proactive Stores Controller to join a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of operations - ensuring materials flow efficiently, teams are supported, and processes run smoothly.

The Role

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores function, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all activities.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate stock control using ERP systems.
  • Work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure stock availability.
  • Supervise and support packing and despatch operatives.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment, including forklifts where applicable.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong understanding of stock control systems and processes.
  • Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
