About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business within the engineering sector. Due to continued success, they are seeking a reliable and proactive Storeman/Warehouse Operative to join their team in High Wycombe. This is a varied, hands-on position that combines warehouse operations, stock control, goods handling, and machine preparation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the warehouse and stores function while supporting engineers, customers, and operational teams. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading machinery, equipment, and deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Preparing machines and equipment for dispatch and customer delivery.
- Picking, packing, and shipping spare parts and customer orders.
- Receiving deliveries and accurately booking goods into stock.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and carrying out regular stock checks.
- Organising and managing spare parts stores to ensure efficient stock control.
- Ensuring goods are stored safely and warehouse areas remain clean and organised.
- Assisting with machine inspections and basic preparation work prior to dispatch.
- Liaising with service engineers and internal departments regarding parts and stock availability.
- Operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts where required.
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and comfortable working in a busy warehouse and engineering environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse, stores, or goods-in/goods-out role.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Forklift licence.
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and lifting duties.
- Strong work ethic with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills Experience
- Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing, machinery, or industrial environment.
