Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Storekeeper to work for Devon and Cornwall Constabulary at their headquarters in Middlemoor Exeter.\\n\\nThis is a temporary role working Monday to Friday 37 hours a week (timings to be discussed at interview).\\n\\nPlease note any successful candidate will be police vetted and must have resided within the UK continuously for at least 3 years at the time of application.\\n\\nPurpose of this role is – To ensure the appropriate supplies are provided in a timely and cost effective manner whilst meeting Force financial procedures and audit requirements. In particular to:\\n\\nEnsure that all submitted requisitions and requests at the counter are fulfilled in a courteous, professional and timely manner, and to contribute to the stores function meeting its agreed service levels.\\nEnsure the internal distribution of items within a multi-site operation is undertaken accurately and promptly.\\nPurchase and order goods & services from approved suppliers in line with agreed procedures.\\nConversant with MS Office packages and complete all electronic internal inventory transactions accurately.\\nOperate all specialist equipment used within the stores in a safe manner.\\nProvide specialist advice and knowledge\\nReceive stock and replenish the warehouse\\nPick, pack and distribute supplies\\nUphold Force directives regarding Policies and corporate decisions\\nUphold Force Procurement & Financial principals\\nWork effectively with other Forces and Public Sector organisations \\n\\nIn addition there are some functions that are intrinsic to this role.
