Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve the overall standards of the production department, ensuring compliance with established quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Lead the production team in meeting performance targets and maintaining a strong work ethic and positive culture.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to organise and agree on production schedules, ensuring orders are delivered on time.
  • Generate relevant production reports, statistics, and KPIs, and present them to senior management and the planning team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, recommend and implement changes using LEAN manufacturing methods.
  • Allocate resources across workflows to minimise wastage and strengthen profit margins.
  • Enforce all health and safety regulations, provide training to staff when necessary, and maintain training records for all reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a production role is essential.
  • Hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Your Background:

  • A qualification in Health & Safety, Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Proven experience in a management role within the manufacturing industry is required.
  • Competency in relevant IT systems, such as Microsoft Office, is necessary.
